When creating a page of your website, the WebHornet system auto generate a page alias.  We recommend using this page alias anytime you link to this page of your website.

View our YouTube Video on Page Settings.

To find the Page Alias:
  • Click on the page in the Control Panel - Page Tree.
  • Click on the Page Settings icon.
  • The full Page Alias is http://yourdomain.com/page-alias.  This can be found in the browser URL or web address area.  (The actual page URL is http://yourdomain.com/page#/page-name.)
Why should you use the Page Alias when linking to this page?:
Typically, if you delete a page of your website all of the links to this page will be broken.  WebHornet will automatically redirect deleted pages to your home page or default page.  If you create a new page with the SAME name as the page deleted, the page alias will direct links and search engines to the new page via the alias.

Example:
  • Let's say you decided to delete your page "Contact Us" (Page Alias: http://yourdomain.com/contact-us)
  • Links to your contact-us page would be redirected to your home page
  • Now, you create a new page named "Contact Us" (Page Alias: http://yourdomain.com/contact-us)
  • Links to your contact-us page would now be directed to your new "Contact Us" page without changing links throughout your site!
