Documents or images files can be hosted on your website and referenced by an outside source (outside email, website, social media site, etc) via a URL.  Upload the file using the Insert/Edit Link icon or Image Manager tools within the HTML editor.

Image URL Path:

If you upload the image using the HTML editor image tool: (Insert/Edit Image icon in the tool bar.)

http://[yourdomain]/Content/Media/[filename.extension]

If you have uploaded your image into a folder other than the root image directory, you will need to add the folder name:

http://[yourdomain]/Content/Media/[folder]/[filename.extension]

Document URL Path:

If you upload a document or image using the HTML editor Insert/Edit Link tool or the Insert File tool:

http://[yourdomain]/Content/Media/File/[filename.extension]

If you have uploaded your document or image into a folder other than the root file directory, you will need to add the folder name:

http://[yourdomain]/Content/Media/File/[folder]/[filename.extension]
