Ways to Edit Your Website - Pages and Layouts

WebHornet allows users to edit their website on 2 different levels.
  • Layout
  • Page

Layout Editing
Your Layouts are the foundation of your website.  Layouts have standard elements that are the same across all pages of your website using the Layout.  Every WebHornet Layout has several predefined elements.  (Example: image/logo, navigation, html/footer)  We do this to help you get started, but you have the ability to change these if needed.

View our WebHornet YouTube Video on Layout Editing.

To Edit a Layout:
1 - Access the Control Panel.

2 - Click on the icon for Layout Module Editing.

3 - The Layout will load. Mouse over the Layout and locate the Action Hexagon of the area you would like to edit. Or click the ActionHex link at the top of the Control Panel to expose all ActionHexes on the Layout.

4 - Click the Action Hexagon for edit options.  When editing a Layout, any changes you make to the Layout will be inherited by the pages using that layout.
  • Edit: Select edit to change the content / images / links within the module.
  • Change: Select change to Change the Module, Copy, or Clear
  • Settings: Select settings to modify settings related to the module.

Page Editing
When you create a new Page, the Page inherits the Layout default modules, content and general settings.
